Take AWEX for example

They have a membership of over 19,000 Wool Classers spread across Australia. Every 3 years the classers update their registration, which requires AWEX to send out a personalised laser-cut plastic stencil used to brand the fleeces. Every stencil is custom made with a specific reference, so the chances for error in manufacture or packing and delivery are high.
We created a system for their supplier that allows AWEX to upload details as each classer renews their registration. The supplier is then notified and can download the templates for the stencils in batches of 90 (the maximum number of stencils per sheet) as a fully imposed PDF, as well as a sheet of labels for all items to be despatched. Once complete, items are scanned as they are packed into the box and packing staff are alerted if any items are mismatched. The completed box is then placed into an Auspost pack and its tracking reference recorded.
Using our system, AWEX were able to complete the task with minimal errors and reduced supplier costs. Check out AWEX in the portfolio section to see some screenshots.

Do I need a Mac or Android app?

Native apps are great, but in most cases a simple responsive (adjusts to different sized screens) website application (WebApp) will do the same job. It will work on any device/OS (Laptop, phone, desktop, tablet) and easy customisation allows the WebApp to grow with you as your business evolves.

How quickly can I be up and running?

In most cases we can get you up and running relatively quickly. It obviously depends on the complexity of the system and how fully defined your goals are. However, we sometimes find it’s better to start with a basic framework, then let the system evolve.

Fully Responsive

To ensure you get the most out of the system, every page is responsive so you can operate from any device, at any size. You can also of course switch easily between devices using any browser. We always build with this in mind.

Do I need a dedicated scanning device to log my barcodes?

We can configure your app to scan barcodes using your phone, however for a factory environment a more durable, external scanner is recommended.

What about hosting?

We can host the app for you or recommend a suitable Australian based hosting service. Alternatively, we can upload to your existing provider. Either way, we would ensure it can integrate with any existing systems.

Need RFID/NFC?

No problem. Add touch operation and combine with barcodes and/or QR codes to give your system even more flexibility.
